Well, it can now be said that we now know who the “mystery” head coaching candidate that the Washington Redskins have interviewed is. According to Jay Glazer of FOX Sports, the candidate is none other than former New York Giants head coach Jim Fassel. Sources have divulged that on Monday, Fassel conducted a second interview with the Skins for the vacant head coaching position.
Fassel originally interviewed about 2 weeks ago when Dan Snyder and Co. flew to Arizona; at that time, it was originally reported that the Redskins’ group had flown there to interview Arizona Cardinals assistant coach Russ Grimm. It turned out that Fassel was their target. At this juncture, Fassel and Redskins defensive coordinator Gregg Williams are in the running for the vacancy; Fassel, in 7 seasons with the Giants, recorded a 58-53-1 record as head coach.

I certainly hope they don’t go with the EX-GIANT COACH. Look at his record, the Giants Moved on past him, 5 more victories than losses does not impress me. Stay with Gregg Williams.

Williams would be great for continuity, but Fassel would not be a bad choice. With a subpar Giants team he had a winning record. Some people dont know what they are talking about….
