Skins, Seahawks Kick Off NFL Wild Card Weekend

The NFL’s wild card weekend begins Saturday afternoon in the Northwest as the  Redskins battle the Seattle Seahawks at Qwest Field.  The Redskins look to carry their late-season momentum into the Emerald City, having won their final four games of the regular season to overtake the Minnesota Vikings for the final playoff spot in the NFC.  Todd Collins will again get the start under center for the Redskins, who routed the mostly-resting Cowboys on the final weekend of the regular season to clinch a postseason berth.  Collins has led Washington to all four of those wins after taking over for injured starter Jason Campbell.  Seattle is coming off its fourth straight NFC West title and has won five straight at home.  The Seahawks did lose two of their final three games down the stretch, but had already wrapped up the division crown.  Seattle beat Washington 20-10 in the Divisional Playoffs in January of 2006.
