This is the day the Redskins head back to the office to gear up for Saturday’s NFC wild card playoff showdown in Seattle. The Seahawks are sixth in the league in points allowed. Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck is directing a sound air attack and Shaun Alexander is a healthy running back again. Gregg Williams says Seattle coach Mike Holmgren has done a good job of resting the former NFL Most Valuable Player down the stretch.
Alexander is the eighth player in the NFL to score 100 touchdowns on the ground. The “Burgundy and Gold” will fly to the Northwest on Friday. Former Seattle cornerback Shawn Springs of the Redskins says the key to beating the Seahawks is keeping Hasselbeck in check. Springs reminds that Hasselbeck single-handedly defeated the Redskins when they played in the “Emerald City” back in 2005. Washington is on a four-game winning streak.
