Suspects In The Killing Of Taylor Enter Pleas
Four men charged in the murder of Pro Bowl safety Sean Taylor have entered written not guilty pleas in Miami-Dade court. Eric Rivera, Charles Wardlow, Jason Mitchell and Venjah Hunte are accused of first-degree felony murder and armed burglary. The filing of a written plea likely means the men won’t appear in court tomorrow for their arraignment. The youngest of the four, 17-year-old Eric Rivera, is thought to have been the shooter. All face life in prison if convicted. Taylor was shot when the four allegedly broke into his Palmetto Bay home November 26th. The bullet hit his femoral artery, causing significant blood loss. He died a little over 24 hours later. Police have called it a random act and say the suspects were not there intending to shoot anyone.
