Redskins Respect Vikings Rookie Peterson
Posted by Matt Loede on December 21st, 2007 filed in NewsThe Washington Redskins have their backs against the wall again Sunday night. Washington needs a win for a shot at the playoffs. The Burgundy and Gold are going into the den of a team that has won its last five games. Rookie running back Adrian Peterson, who set the single-game rushing record with 296 yards, missed a couple of games with a knee injury, but is averaging more than six yards-per-carry. Washington star running back Clinton Portis says he sees a lot of himself in Peterson. The Vikes lead the league with an average of 169 yards on the ground.
