Somber ‘Skins Practice One Day After Taylor’s Passing
Posted by Matt Loede on November 29th, 2007 filed in NewsWith heavy hearts the Washington Redskins returned to practice Wednesday, just one day after the death of safety Sean Taylor. Taylor’s father, Pedro, addressed the team at the start of practice and made it clear how much love and devotion his son had for his teammates and the Redskins. The team’s safeties also gathered by themselves before working on drills and schemes in preparation for Sunday’s home game against the Bills. Taylor’s funeral will take place Monday in Miami, with the Redskins then having just three days to prepare for next Thursday’s game against the Bears. Defensive end Andre Carter said Taylor will stay with the team in spirit, living on as a 12th man on the field for the defense for the rest of the season.
