Redskins Players Remain Stunned By Taylor’s Death
Posted by Matt Loede on November 28th, 2007 filed in NewsIt’s really hard for players of the Washington Redskins to think about football after losing one of their top performers to a shooting in South Florida. Team owner Daniel Snyder is among those reacting to the death of star safety Sean Taylor. He’s reflecting on how the 24-year-old safety was the first player that he and head coach Joe Gibbs picked together out of the University of Miami. Snyder says the loss of Taylor is great.
For the rest of the season, players for the Redskins will wear a patch with the number 21 in honor of Taylor. Black fabric is draped over the entrance to the Park. Snyder says he will fly all the players to South Florida next week for Taylor’s funeral.
