Commissioner Goodell Releases Statement Regarding Taylor

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell released a statement Tuesday in the wake of the passing of safety Sean Taylor.  Goodell said the entire league is deeply saddened by Taylor’s death, and added that Taylor will be honored at all NFL games this weekend.  Goodell called Taylor’s death, quote, “a terrible tragedy involving the loss of a young man who leaves behind many people struggling to understand it.”  Taylor died Tuesday morning from injuries suffered in a shooting incident at his home in southern Florida.  He was only 24-years-old.
