Portis Thursday Costume Tradition Is Back

Clinton Portis is going back into the costume closet. The Thursday tradition is back at Redskins Park. The running back is having fun again by dressing up as dance instructor “Choo Choo,” ahead of a key NFC East pairing with the Philadelphia Eagles Sunday in Landover. Portis says his message is for the “Burgundy and Gold” to have fun. He motored for his Washington career-high 196 yards rushing last weekend against the New York Jets in an overtime victory. Defensive end Phillip Daniels says it’s good to see Portis having fun, since it’s infectious in the locker room. Santana Moss missed practice with a heel injury and Antwaan Randle El was on the sideline nursing a hamstring problem.
