What A Difference A Week Makes For The Redskins

The Redskins go from being totally outclassed by one of the best teams in the NFL, the New England Patriots, to another road matchup with the New York Jets, one of the league’s worst teams.  Compounding matters for New York is the fact that former Redskins wide receiver Laveranues Coles is out with a concussion.  On Washington’s injury front, Rock Cartwright and Fred Smoot are practicing again and should be on the field at Giants Stadium on Sunday.  Washington is just 4-3 after the lopsided defeat in Foxboro last Sunday.  The Jets have benched quarterback Chad Pennington in favor of second-year pro Kellen Clemens.
