Skins Start Practice Today for Slumping Jets

It’s time for the Redskins to put on the helmets and pads again to start preparing for the New York Jets.  Players and coaches have had a chance to get last Sundays pasting by the New England Patriots out of their system.  The challenge for the “Burgundy and Gold” now is to build momentum for some key conference games coming up on the other side of the road test with the Jets.  Cornerback Fred Smoot is calling on others, such as himself, to step up to fill the void left by a season-ending knee injury to Carlos Rogers.
