Jason Campbell has been getting better as the season has gone on, which is why the team was excited for the young QB Wednesday when he was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after Washington trounced the Lions 34-3 Sunday. Campbell went 23-for-29 for 248 yards and two touchdowns in the blowout win. “It means a lot, but at the same time the reason I got it was because of the teammates around me,” Campbell said. “The OL and receivers made outstanding plays and blocked great.”

Campbell this season has a QB rating of 84.3, and has thrown for 869 yards with four touchdowns and three interceptions. He has not thrown a pick since the teams week two win in Philly, and over his last two games he has thrown three touchdowns and no interceptions. Last season in 7 games he threw 10 TD’s and 6 interceptions. Campbell and the team returns to practice today as they get set for the Packers Sunday in Green Bay.
