No Contest as Skins Slam Lions 34-3

The Redskins tamed the Detroit Lions 34-3 in Landover. Jason Campbell shined at quarterback, hitting on 23-of-29 passes for a career-high 248 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Clinton Portis says the offense made sure that Campbell wouldn’t have to do it alone. Antwaan Randle El caught seven balls for 100 yards as a fill in for Santana Moss, who’s nursing a groin injury. On his last reception before the half, Randle El pulled a hamstring and sat out the second half. Campbell found Mike Sellers and Chris Cooley for scoring strikes. Sellers also drove to pay dirt on the ground. Portis carried 18 times for 72 yards. The defense dialed up nine points. Lions quarterback Jon Kitna was sacked in the end zone by Andre Carter for a safety in the third quarter. In the fourth, Carlos Rogers intercepted a pass from Kitna and raced 61 yards for a touchdown to finish the blowout. This weekend, Washington has a stern road test against Brent Favre and the Green Bay Packers.
