Redskins To Check Out Keenan McCardell Monday
Posted by Matt Loede on September 28th, 2007 filed in NewsThe Redskins will work out veteran wide receiver Keenan McCardell Monday in Ashburn. If the pass catcher does well, Comcast Sports Net reports he could be offered a contract as early as that afternoon. Washington is trying to juice up the offense after failing to score in the waning moments of its last game this past weekend at home with the New York Giants. Last month, McCardell was cut by the Houston Texas. He was a 12th round choice by the “Burgundy and Gold” 16 years ago, but never made the team. He has caught more than 800 balls during his NFL career, mostly during six years in Jacksonville.
