State of the Redskins After Week Two

A big win in Philly

As I watched the Washington Redskins on Monday night, I had a sence of enjoyment for the first time in years. Finally I see direction, I see promise, and more importantly I see a future. On Monday night I saw a team ! A group to be proud off. A group of players who did  not suite up in an attempt to glorify themselves, but a group of players who had victory in
mind.

The team is being led on offense by a cannon armed young gun named Jason Campbell. So far ampbell has showed the ability to stand in under pressure and deliver the ball. Jason  proved to me on Monday that he is not going to be intimidated by the defense or the situation. Which was evident by the third down conversion rate as well as the touchdown
pass to Chris Cooley that followed 3 straight offensive penalties. Jason has also showed the ability to overcome the mistake and keep moving forward.

The other big key in Washington starting the season 2-0 is the fact that defense has played up to there ability so far. They are showing the speedand sure tackling that allow them to make a play in space. This is giving the defense a chance to give the offense yardage in small amounts rather than big chunks.Showcasing a bend but dont break style.

I said in my season preview that I wouldn’t be surprised to see this team go 9-7 and make an apperance in wild card weekend. If this team can continue to play smart and limit the mistakes they just may make me look smarter than I am.
