Redskins Re-Sign Stoutmire

Veteran safety Omar Stoutmire has re-signed with the Redskins.  The 5-11, 205 pounder signed with the “Burgundy and Gold” in the offseason, but was released early this month.  Backup safeties Pierson Prioleau and Vernon Fox got hurt in the season opener against the Miami Dolphins.  So, the coaches decided to bring back someone who knows Gregg Williams’ defensive scheme.  Also, running back Marcus Mason has been put onto the taxi squad.  The Georgetown Prep product was with the team during the preseason.
