Campbell, Portis Set To Start Redskins Preseason Finale

The Redskins are expected to get number one quarterback Jason Campbell back in action tomorrow night in their final preseason tune-up against the Jaguars in Jacksonville. Campbell missed Saturday’s game against Baltimore because of a bruised knee suffered in the second preseason game against Pittsburgh. Running back Clinton Portis, who hasn’t seen any action in the preseason because of knee tendonitis, said yesterday he may get to join Campbell for at least a few plays against the Jaguars. Portis says his knee still bothers him some, but that he’s at about 85 percent after yesterday’s practice. He’s promising to be ready for the season opener against the Miami Dolphins on September ninth. Left tackle Chris Samuels will also sit out tomorrow’s game.
