Redskins Kick Off Preseason Tomorrow Night

The Redskins are about to kick off the preseason tomorrow night against the Tennesee Titans in Nashville. Linebacker H.B. Blades is trying to stick with the team as a sixth round draft choice from Pittsburgh. His uncle, Brian Blades, was a receiver for the Seattle Seahawks. His father, Bennie Blades, was a safety with the Seahawk and the Miami Dolphins. Redskins assistant coach for the defense, Gregg Williams, says Blades probably will be a good special teams player and a good middle linebacker. But, Williams adds that there is a different tempo between college and pro football and the rookie needs to remember this. Clinton Portis won’t play against the Titans. The star running back will make the trip and have his sore knee checked by a noted physician in Middle Tennessee.
